Hi, my surgery is September 26th, which is this Thursday! I am very excited and a little nervous but after "stalking" the forums, and reading all the testimonials, tips, and seeing great post-op pictures, I am more anxious to get the surgery over with so I can start my new life in a different body.

Strong but valuable words of advice. Thanks. My surgery is today at 1:30...wish me success, both during and after. Good luck everyone!

Slurpee_girl I hope all went well, and please do not come back in a week and say OMG I am not losing 50 pounds per day... Follow the Dr's orders.... you will do fine, STAY off the scale..... go by your clothes...... remember you will GAIN.... before you start to lose, hollar at me if I can help... Hope you got some MOM before surgery, if not send someone for it.....MOM is milk of mag. you WILL need it after about 2.5 weeks I PROMISE YOU! :) Been there, SUFFERED THAT!

Weight Loss surgery is NOT A MAGIC PILL. You will HAVE to follow the rules, you will not lose 25 lbs a week, you will GAIN and you WILL LOSE, but you have to give your body TIME to HEAL.... Get in your WATER, and AS MUCH PROTEIN as you can.. do not come back in 3 weeks and say when can i drink Alcohol...........etc... you either WANT to do this (lose the weight) OR you Really just THOUGHT you DID....... Holler if I can help you!!!!! DO NOT COME BACK IN 2 4 5 12 weeks and say YOU are GAINING, THERE IS NO WAY.... you are gaining...... you are not drinking your water....... COME BACK in a year and THEN CRY you have gained weight, if SO , YOU are the reason........NOT the surgery!!!!!! :D

Please if I can help ANYONE. Let me know, been there DONE THAT and some!!! ROCKING SIZE 8P... and FEELING & LOOKING WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must remember I was pushing out or Women's 18P

Just wanting to wish my fellow 25th people good luck, thoughts, and prayers!! My surgery is at 7:30 in the morning...just a matter of hours until my life changes forever and for good!! I can't wait to see where we all are this time next year and how much our lives have changed! :D

I was sleeved sept 11th. Had my post op visit. Lost about 35lbs. I thought the doc's scale was lying! I know a lot of that was fluid, I'm just glad to have started my journey to a healthy weight. I'm still struggling to get all the water I'm supposed to be sipping. I also need to get a protein powder. In the meantime I'm gonna sip this water.

Speedy recovery to those who have gone, and good luck to those with upcoming surgeries.
