If you will go back to page one and start reading, you will see that everyone that has the surgery goes thru this stage, and the answers are always the same. I remember the journey very well as I would stall for months at a time. That is when I decided to stay off the scale and use clothes to see how I was losing. you will lose inches but not a pound. Your body is fighting to keep your weight, but eventually it will let go. Best of luck to all of you.

Sleeved on 9/11 and I Have lost a combined total (pre op and post op) 48lbs. But like a poster stated before, I mow get acid reflux with just about everything I eat. But a small price to pay in my opinion.

Did your doctor prescribe an antacid? Mine did ever since surgery, in case that were to happen, and I haven't had that reflux far.

I was sleeved on sept 4th. So almost 8 weeks. Today I am down 26 pounds from surgery. Doesn't seem like much compared to some others, but trying to take it one day at a time. I know it will come off. Been having trouble getting my Water in everyday.

I've been having trouble getting my Water in as well. I'm 4 weeks and 2days post op, and as of today, I have lost 16lbs since surgery. :-/ I guess as long as we know it will come off, and take it a day at a time, we'll be ok.

My nutritionist told me all liquid counts when you're struggling. Eventually you'll get it all in. :-). Best wishes!!

I'm not losing as some are, but I can feel my body shrinking. I'm almost 4 weeks out and dropped a full size. My bras are getting too loose too. I am going go by my clothes and not my scale weight. Screw that darn thing right now. Lol. I did just drop two pounds this week, but I was stalled for a week. I almost got discouraged, but I caught myself and stayed focused on my journey of a healthy living lifestyle. I fell better than I have in years. :-). Best wishes!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
