How much have you lost? And drinking is never the answer.. Go back to basics eat clean Protein and veggies first then starch of you have space.

I was at 420 I'm down to 340. I recently stopped drinking. I hear it's a common thing. I lost hope and motivation. You are correct I need to get back on the diet. Thank you for replying :-)

Depression can be tough to deal with alone and often has physiological origins. It's common to self medicate with alcohol (been there, done that). I suggest you speak with your primary care doctor about the depression and if needed get treatment for it (therapy and/or antidepressants). Dealing with that will hopefully put you in a better state of mind to put aside the drinking and start eating healthy again. Good luck.

Find a good therapist. We all have to deal with the head stuff which is what got us in this shape to begin with Hope you start feeling better soon.

Don't give up - despite what some non-sleeved people may think, this surgery is NOT easy! You've lost weight already, so you know you can do it. Depression is tough, I've dealt with that too. But you are stronger than you think, and you can get past this. Look for a good therapist, and KEEP looking until you find one you like. Talk to your Dr about anti-depressants, they can really help. And lastly, MOVE. Exercise helps with your mood, it releases endorphins, burns calories, and makes you feel like you've accomplished something!

Don't give up on yourself, you've done a great job so far, you just have to pick up where you left off!! And remember - we're here for you!

Your post said you are stalled so that means you have not gained anything back. That is good. Look back and start with the basics and don't give up. Throwing up may be an issue and I was curious what your doctor has said. I hope all is well there but being very careful and keeping a diary of what sets it off or how much. I am glad you have stopped the drinking but it is so important to seek help for depression, it is a medical condition that can be helped. Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
