Hi All!!! Today is day 14 post surgery and I am feeling great!! I went for my after surgery check-up yesterday, and everything is going just than planned. My doctor is such a nice, cool guy and I really appreciate him being honest and open about this journey. And thanks to my nutritionist's strict guideline (again, I thank my doctor for being real w/me) I am going to, from this day forward get my Protein Drinks in though I do not enjoy drinking them. Not to get off topic, but I am drinking a very tasty Protein Shake, it's CORE POWER strawberry banana, 20g. Protein, and I buy them at shoprite. Anyway, I decided today that, though my doctor told me my stomach is fine to take in foods, I will drink at least 1 protein shake in the morning and another throughout and keep up with my Vitamins. I think when I eat first I kinda screw up the room in my belly for the rest of the day, therefore it feels uncomfortable to consume the Protein Shakes. I went shopping for some shorts and am down 2 sizes and I went from a sz xxl to m-l in shirts, I even bought a size small lol, not sure if it will fit, but it looked like it!! Btw, first weigh in, 207, 200 day of surgery, and 185 yesterday. I feel great, hope you all do too!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
