Week 3....what did you eat?

Recommended Posts

At 3 weeks I was doing soft foods and Soups. I couldn't deal with the texture of pureed foods. Cottage cheese or scrambled eggs for Breakfast, Protein smoothies for Snacks, homemade soups/stews for other meals. I would go out for chicken and mashed potatoes (Boston Market), but if something upset my tummy, it was back to Soups. Good restaurants for soft foods include Boston Market, Baker's Square, Panera bread or any place that serves mashed potatoes (Chili's).

Also, learned to love Greek yogurt with sugar-free preserves and Splenda, and sugar-free pudding. Applesauce is good too -- never thought I would eat applesauce as an adult, but I actually like it. What I especially like about these food is the single-serve packs. Portion controlled!

A woman after my own heart, I really don't like to cook, so Panera and Boston Market, etc sound good to me!!

Yeah, I don't really cook either, so I have to be creative. Also, if you have a Whole Foods near you, their prepared hot foods are good. Try the turkey meatballs and mashed potatoes. Watch the Tomato sauce as it upset my tummy early on.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
