Day 3 post op, doing well ! I take walks up and down the block 3 or 4 times a day, walk around the house , shower, read with my kids, watch tv and drink liquids all day. Sound right? I have taken about a 1 hour nap today and yesterday. Each day is a little better!

Just got home from the hospital...was only there for 2 days vs three. I had the band removed and the sleeve fixed in. I can get about 3 teaspoons and maybe 5-6 sips of tea or water...that is all I can do. Banded 48 days less of 5 years and sleeved oficially 2 days. How do you have so much energy?

Day 3: enjoying the rain, hoping I can keep my windows open (severe storm watch). Walking around the house, drinking crystal lite, loving sugar free popsicles, taking in a little water/ice cubes, had a Protein Drink (sigh), and half cup of Isopure (blah).

One week post op I was in my recliner asleep. I came home with a sleeve, an umbilical hernia and a severely sprained neck. I was still on T3 and major muscle relaxers. I slept several times a day AND all night. I didn't start to really become coherent till the middle or end of the second week... 3 weeks out and my neck is still sore and so is the repaired hernia, which I JUST strained catching myself from a fall this morning. UGH! :0)

Just made 8 days and I'm still sore but so sick of this liquid diet I'm dying to get into the puréed stage I'm so over broth and crystal light! Blah... But today I have up say I'm mentally hungry I can't seem to stop thinking of food I never knew I had an emotional attachment to food it's tough!

I'm 4 days p.o. from a conversion from banded plication with hernia repair. DH took me to the movies today and it was so nice to get out and feel more "normal". Today I feel like I turned a corner and am definitely feeling better. I'm still sore and can barely drink about 2-3 ounces per hour. My calories are around 300 and Proteins are about 30-40 grams. Not what it should be but everyday it's getting better. I'm so happy to have my band out and to be on the sleeve journey! Take care :)

One week today. I have felt great especially since I got my drain out this afternoon. I am having an opposite issue, I am having trouble sleeping. I have been taking a dose of pain med at night to try and help me sleep (not taking it for pain). I think someone changed my settings on my CPAP at the hospital and think that may be some of my trouble. I slept to 4:30 am and that was the latest I have slept. Driving me crazy because I know on Monday when I have to get up to go to work I won't be that awake!

Yeah! Too good, you're putting me to shame!!! Day 4 and I managed to clean up for company (BF is just another kid around here, actually had more help from my 4 yr old). I was really proud of my couple trips to the deli (like a block away) & now battling with a stuck pill that I stubbornly only cut in 2 rather than four pieces. I'm hoping like hell that losing the battle doesn't mean facetime with my toilet! (didn't get around to scrub that today!)

No drain for me either. My dr uses one if he feels it is necessary. Must not have been for me!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
