Hi, I did have a Q pump, and I had very little pain. I was sore, but no pain. And the pump does not hurt at all when it is time to take out, it is kinda just tacked into skin. I promise it did not hurt at all to take out. Good luck!

One week out no pump. But good luck to you.

I had the On-Q pump, but took it out after 2 days (before it was empty) because it kept getting in the way. I had no incisional pain at all (never even filled my pain pill Rx), so I figured even if some pain started with it out (it didn't), I could probably handle it.

Was much easier to dress, shower, and go to the bathroom without all those tubes!

I had the pump as well and mine fell out the day after when I was leaving. I had no pain, though and didn't even know it had fallen out until I saw the "arms" were dangling on the floor!

Thank you all so much for your responces! I am debating leaving out because most of our pts say they are a mess and they cant say it helps a great deal... Decisions decisions!

Hard to say if I had pain cuz I did have the onq pain ball. It was pulled when I left the hospital. Didn't hurt, was just a little startling. Lol

No pain at all though, and filled my pain meds but haven't used them.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
