Hello, I was just scheduled for my EGD, it's 6/28 at 8:00AM. I have a freelance makeup artistry job scheduled for that same day starting at 2:00PM. I have to do make-up for a bridal party of 5, it'll take about three hours total. I am contracted to do the makeup so I can't back out of that commitment. However, I am reluctant to reschedule the procedure because the date may be pushed back over a month due to ongoing contract negotiations between BCBS and the hospital (the primary affiliation of my surgeon). Do you think I will be "recovered" in time to do the makeup in the afternoon? Thanks in advance for your input.

I just had mine and was fully awake and functioning within minutes of coming back to the hospital room. You can't drive afterwards though. By the time we got home, maybe an hour later I had no signs of the drugs at all.

Have to have someone to drive you as per most hospital rules, but you should be fine by 2. You may have some bad gas but nothing walking around and gasx can't help.

I was very tired and slept all afternoon. I could not have done makeup. I guess it was the anesthesia.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
