I have found that if I get in less than 500 cal. I don't loose, but when I

get just over 600 cal. I loose around a lb. a day. I track everything I put

in. It has been very consistent. I add unflavored Protein to get to 600

cal. I average about 4-5 oz of food 3 times a day and plus a snack to get

to 600.

300 calories is really low for a whole day. My program's minimum requirement is 75g. of Protein and 800 calories. I'm not always able to get 800 calories but I'm over 600. My dietician said it's like a car...the more fuel you put in, the farther it can go.

I had surgery on July 9th & to date, I've only lost 24lbs since surgery, 37lbs pre surgery diet. i really feel like I should've lost a lot more. In the last two weeks, I've only lost like 2 lbs. it's so frustrating!! I drink decent amts of Water & Protein. I don't get it. I'm eating like 1/3 or 1/4 of the calories I did before surgery....?!? I'm on soft foods now & I also have to take nausea medicine with every meal, unless its liquid or i get so sick to my stomach. So weird! It's definitely taking a whole lot of adjusting to my new life style.

Everyone loses at a different rate and it is not uncommon for one to be in a stall around the 3rd week. Keep up what you are doing and eventually the pounds will show. What I am doing to try to prevent a stall is to constantly shake things up so my body does not get comfortable and routine. I am trying new recipes and diffe foods I am able to tolerate (5 weeks out). I am also changing up my excercise routine. Be patient.

Today I am 3 weeks out and I have lost a total of 22 lbs post op! I didn't think it was that much so I'm super thrilled and want to see if I can get into even more clothes I grew out of! :)

I was 3.5 weeks out at my last weigh in and lost 14 pounds since surgery. It's kind of disappointing since I lost 11pounds in the first 10 days. I'm hoping the weight loss picks back up after my body adjusts to the new normal. Also, I only just got cleared to return to the gym, and will be much more active once the school year starts and I am back to work. Hopefully it will be faster!

Finally broke my stall!! Lost 2 lbs over the weekend. So now I'm down 22 lbs since surgery. I wonder if it was because I slightly changed up my diet this weekend and ate foods that weren't exactly pureed. Also, put on a pair of sandals I bought right before surgery, and they are too big now! If it weren't for the ankle strap I would've walked right out of em. Wish that would happen with my jeans already! lol

Hi all I'm going to get very personal with this question. I'm almost 3 weeks post-op. I may urinate three times a day and my first one of the day is dark yellow and when I have a bowel movement its like a small child use the bathroom. My question to everyone is in the beginning were you like this and should I be concern?

Dark urine could be sign of urinary tract infection, drink lots of Water, possibly cranberry juice, if any burning, I'd call Dr.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
