Weight Loss Pills and Other Suppliments

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else tried using any diet pills or other weight loss supplements like raspberry ketone or HCG in conjunction with your new way of eating post surgery? I have though about it since my diet is so much better and I am more active than before could it hurt to add in a supplement that was designed to work best with a balanced diet and increased exercise? Obviously I don't want to do anything dangerous so I'm just curious to see if anyone else has considered this or looked into it with their doctor.

On a side note... I can't deal with caffeine or ephedrine based stuff because I don't like the jitters but there are many things out there that supposedly help with metabolism. I have read about products that help to digest Protein or products that are used to block fat absorption. If I am taking care of my diet and doing everything else I wonder if my body could benefit from a little added help.

I can understand wanting to make the weight loss quicker, but I personnally wouldn't want to add that back into my diet...... -_-

My nut was very specific when she said, "never think diet again" she said we should only focus on nutrition. What ever you eat make sure it´s good for you.

I had a patient who lost alot with her surgery but then hit a plateau for like 2 years and she did the hcg surgery. She lost and never gained back :) I actually was thinking of hcg diet drops. I did those before my surgery for a vacation.. lost 20lbs in 20 days! lol not sure if I will be able to stick to "diets" again, just healthy eating.. hcg diet is very strick! but that is why it worked I guess?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
