February 2007 bandsters!

Rebecca: It's great to have those fast losses when the band is too tight. The problem I've found with keeping the band too tight is that you start eating all the wrong things because they go down easiest (i.e., icecream--the Devil's food!!!) Glad to learn you're doing better.

Hi all ! Just wanted to drop in and see how the summers going for you ! I think we're all busy actually "living " our lives now . I know I am. I feel so much more alive and happy than I did a year and a half ago. I thank God every day for this band in me. I'm getting ready to go back to work in just a few more weeks. Seems school starts sooner each year ! I'm ready to get back tho'. I'm finally exercising more now - not that I'm lovin' it , but I finally have the energy to do it. I try to walk 2-3 miles almost every day and have also started working out on our bowflex @ home. I added a new pic to my sig. and am finally able to see a change in me. Have a great time w/ what's left of our summer !:biggrin2:

Thanks for the encouragement girls , I appreciate it !:biggrin2: I do feel good. My personality has become much more confident also. 2 weeks ago I got my nose pierced on the side - sounds crazy , but it's something I had wanted to do for a long time but didn't have the guts. It's just a small, discreet diamond, but I really like it. We'll see how my students react at school , ! I guess it's the musician in me, lol ! I'm getting ready to go for another fill next week. I think that makes 10 altogether. For me , I can tell when I start eating too much, and that time is now. I'd like to reach my goal this year , but we'll see. If not , that's ok too 'cause I know I'm alot healthier now , which was my goal. Well , I've gotta go. I'm working on my christmas program. Yes , I said christmas. My shows take a lot of planning since we dance & sing, costumes , etc. Have a great rest of the week ! Thanks again for the support !

Andrea,

You look fabulous. I love the hair too! We are busy living life. I know what you mean about school already starting. I love summers. You have done great with the band. What an inspiration you are.

We had fun on our cruise. I don't think I'm been back online since then.

Thanks Skinny ! I would love to go on a cruise. Maybe in the future. Right now I'm getting ready for my oldest daughter to start college this fall, with her 2 sisters to follow in a few years, so a cruise will have to wait. At least she received a tuition scholarship, which really helps. How did the band do for you w/ all the cruise food. Did you at least get to sample most of the goodies ?

Hi Andrea,

I know. My son will be in college in 2 years. The cruise food was awesome. I ate everthing. Didn't have any problems. Just took a taste if I wanted it. I did gain about 6lbs but lost it all within a week and half. I'm down know to 158. i'm so excited. haven't been here in 6yrs :)

Is school back in session?

Hey girls , things are going well now that school is back in full swing. I actually like getting back to work after being home with my whole family 24/7 all summer . My Dr. finally got his website up. It's richardfollwelldo.com. My pic. is under testimonies. That was fun to do , just wish we got compensated for the referalls. 2 of my teacher friends got banded in april and july after seeing my success. oh well , I am just thankful that I had the opportunity to get the band and that I've finally found something that actually works for me.

I'm doing great. Glad someone is starting up this link again. I'm still not where I want to be but I've been a lazy butt and plan on kicking myself into high gear to shed the last of this weight. Hope everyone else is doing good.

Kelly :o

well...... I was 331 ( I think) the day of surgery, lost down to 240 and creeped back up to 260. I'm working on being more active now. I'm still huge but I'm not over 300 huge so It's the best thing I've ever done. I'm so lazy and HATE to work out so I just have to kick my self in the arse.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
