Silry,

Mine went really fast also. I attended the seminar January 6, had my consultation with the doctor on 1/23, got my lab work done the same day and was approved by the pre-op nurse the next day. My surgery is set for 2/15. I am self pay and was hoping things would progress quickly but I never expected it to be this quick.

My supervisors are having a food orgy for me on 2/8 so I can taste all of my favorite foods one last time. It will be fun but I am going to say goodbye to these foods forever!

Good luck,

Sharon

Silry the emotional eating part is the hardest thing to overcome. I have realized how often I want to eat just because I feel like I need to, and now that I can't due to my liquid diet it has really put a huge strain on me in the last few days. I cry that I can't eat. I feel sick over it. It is better now than it was the first day but it still sucks.

I had that half scared feeling/half super excited feeling too. Now that I am just over a week away I am more excited than anything. Mostly I htink because full liquid stage includes cottage cheese and I really really want something other than Optifast.< /p>

Congrats Twins, I have heard many good things about Dr. Deol. I am in Southeaster Michigan too but I am being banded by Dr. Bacal in Dearborn.

I anyone else that is on liquids as obsessed with food as I am? I can't get my mind off of it and now that I want to eat so bad (just made the kids dinner) I am finding it necessary to plan my post op menu because I have to do something involving it.

It is so nice to know that I am not the only one obsessing over food. I am trying to stick with the Atkins shakes for two meals a day and one light meal. Starting the first I am switching to an all liquid diet. I can't seem to think about anything but food. I can't wait for the 26th. 1 month to go! Yeah:clap2:

I was just browsing the before and after pic's and the main thing I noticed about people - besides the major weight changes. In the before pic's people look absolutely unhappy and in the after pictures almost everyone is just beaming. I want to look that happy!:D

Anyway - I hope you all have a great weekend.

I have UHC that will pay for some of it and the rest is self pay. Do you know Sharon?

Joan

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
