So where are all the cool kids this beautiful Friday and what's for lunch?

Hey all the cool kids, B) B)

What' up and what's going on this Father's day weekend? What are we making dad grill?

In celebration of Father's day, I am having the hubster old grill up some bacon wrapped Omaha filet mignons. With some steamed broccoli. I will eat about an oz and a half of it and be a happy camper. Going to open a good bottle of Cab and spend the afternoon floating in the pool! :) :)

Oh, and thanks for all the smiles and laughs this week, it's been a fun one on the VST!!

Debating on sending my dad a father's day card because he didn't even say congrats let alone did I get a card when I graduated a month ago with my master's degree. Sorry to turn this thread into a pitty party for a moment...I'm having tuna salad for lunch.< /p>

I know how that is. My father has always been absent. Now that he is old, he doesn't understand why his kids don't make him a priority. It's sad, but it is what it is, right?

Thanks, I really do feel great. I have to say, I have had a really, really easy time of things. From the surgery and recovery to being able to tolerate everything I have tried so far. Have not puked or had any adverse reactions. The only things I have not eaten is bread, Pasta, rice, refined sugar anything and salad. Going stay away from all that except the salad though. Better for me. :)

Although tonight's dinner poolside is spinach salad so taking a leap. Let's hope I have not spoken too soon.

I know what you mean. My father was gone most of the time, and when he was home, he was mean tempered. We always had to walk on eggshells around him. Now that he is old, he complains that his kids don't call or visit him. Heck, anytime I do visit him, he nags me about my weight. He'll get a card from me, but probably not a visit...at least not at my current weight! I just don't want to subject myself to him right now.

My ex-hubby has the kids this weekend, so I'll probably relax at home, mow my yard, maybe tackle the laundry...good times! (Yeah! Nothing wrong with a good pity party every now and then! ...lol)

Newat52, I wanna come to your house too!! Definitely one of the cool kids!!!! My kids are coming home for the weekend and we are going to see "man of steel" in the balcony (dinner and drinks). I'll just have Soup, but it's so fun to sit in heated love seats and dine and drink while watching a good movie. Especially when you get to do it with the people you love!

I'm two weeks and down 22 pounds :-)

Well.. My dad who is 85 won't be here this weekend. No, instead he's driving his big ass motor home 400 miles to Idaho/WA border to go fishing with his 90 year old brother! Seriously? The guy thinks fishing in Hells Canyon is more important than spending time with his daughter who he says never eats anymore! No figure! Love that guy to death :D

Ha! All are welcome at my house! Heck, the 5 oz filet would more than feed ALL of us!

Just take a bite and pass it around! :D

Probably be leftovers for the lunch the next day too!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
