I still FEEL fat

Recommended Posts

I'm kind of that way, but different. I was so focused on my goal weight that I just didn't realize that I was thinner yet. I never changed out of my habit of hoodies and baggy jeans. I was pleasantly surprised when I had to borrow a pair of jeans from my boss, (spilled wine incident), and they fit! She wears size 8. When I realized I could look at her and see she was thin.. Then I must be, too!

Thanks everyone for yalls support and comments. I am glad that I am not the only one who's mind is "slower" than my weight loss =]. I will say this: My mom and I went clothes shopping and she knew I was still in that "I look fat mode". She made me try on new styles of clothing that I never used to wear EVER like a thin V-neck and "slim" shorts. I used to wear a 42 waist and to my amazement I was in a 36 and one pair a 34! The shirts fit me and when I saw myself in the mirror...it changed for me. When I went to my friends house she just stared at me and was like "WOW! YOU REALLY HAVE LOST WEIGHT GREG!"

it's getting there. I have looked through most of yalls profiles and EVERYBODY is looking great!! We will get there, and CONGRATS to everybody on our great accomplishments! Keep it up

Something I read on here over three years ago, when I was pre-op. When you're out with a friend, your spouse, family member.....have them point out someone who is YOUR size. It is shocking, seriously, to see a stranger and see THEIR size and hear that is how others see you. It is still surprising to me.

I'm going to have to do this as well. Sounds like a good idea. Knowing me though I'll go up to the stranger and make them stand side by side with me just to make sure haha

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
