Thank you ALL for your responses, I hope you all see this reply, cuz I dunno how to respond to each of ya separately. :/ but I for sure am not over eating. I have only vomited twice and each of those times were literally after just like three bites and I chewed WELL. I see, I couldn't eat even puréed food even till my fourth week! Took ALL day to drink four ounces of Water. Getting one Protein Drink in was an all day ordeal too. My Surgeon told me to go to ER for testing. The ER only checked to see I I was leaking which I knew I wasn't, for some reason they refused to do an upper GI test. I do have pcos which does cause me to scar tissue in abundance internally after any surgery. I wonder if that's what's happened is a stricture. I wish the Drs would help me! Thanks for listening and Sharing with me.

I was sleeved April 30 and regret the surgery SO much. I'm miserable and nauseas daily and can't eat barely anything. When I try I vomit. I thought this would be so different. I was told before surgery I would be able to eat anything, just less of a portion. I'm not able to even take a few bites without being miserable and it vomiting. It is depressing me and making me physically ill. Irreversable... What was I thinking. :(

I just saw that you were sleeved on April 30th. You should be able to eat anything, but not for a while. Small, small amounts is all you'll be able to eat for a few months. I am three years out and cannot eat 1 cup of food and in fact, my surgeon doesn't want me to EVER eat more than 1 cup at one time. You are only a month out, what are you eating. Be gentle, your new little tummy has been through a traumatic event!!! Measure and/or weigh EVERYTHING you eat. I was measuring my 1/8 cup of broth the first week and 3 years later, I STILL weigh and measure my food. I know how much I can hold, and I try and under eat my sleeve, it is a lot more comfortable. At your stage, I'd recommend nothing veggie wise and not even chicken, pork or beef other than maybe ground beef. Half a scrambled egg with a few sprinkles of 2% cheese. An 1/8 cup of 1% cottage cheese, tuna in Water, again, about an 1/8 of a cup. Steam some shrimp, good Protein and easy on your tummy. Skim milk, I start every morning and end every day with a cup of skim milk. This too shall pass, but make sure you are starting new habits, good habit. Don't drink when you eat, and wait for 30 minutes afterwards before drinking. Eat on a salad plate, I do this too. Weigh, measure and log your food. I use a seafood fork when I'm at home. Make these things part of your new life, it helps.

They really should give you some anti-acid medicine for a while to help your sleeve heal. I'm sorry they aren't very responsive to you. Not a safe practice to let a WLS patient go without answering her concerns. Have you tried warming your Water or cooling it to see if it goes down better? I do better with warm than cold now.

You need to insist on seeing your doctor. The ER is not the place to do diagnostic testing unless there is imminent need.

Hang in there. You are still very early out...you will feel better in time. The first 2 weeks are pure h$&&, and then, the next two are just a tad better. ..but it does get better. I am 12 weeks out...I still struggle with drinking & eating, but not as much...it gets easier, just give it time. Once I was able to eat a egg & toast (3rd week by my dr guidelines) - I felt much better. Everybody goes through a regret stage - hopefully, you won't regret wls in time. Very few people do, I am one of them, but I am in the minority. Focus on Water til you feel better, and then, the Protein. You may not feel like it, but make yourself walk...you will be able to drink more easily.

Contact your dr if the vomiting and pain persist or becomes unbearable to be on the safe side.

Best of luck to you. Wish you the best.

Thank to for all your kindness and advice. I have been using fitness pal to track what little I'm able to eat and drink and I will continue. I guess what it ultimately comes down to is thinking I was ready to make this life change and I was not. I am mourning food. I may also have something wrong and will hopefully get to the bottoms of it soon when I can get the drs to listen. What's really upsetting to me is that I never did over eat much. I have several metabolic conditions that made my body store everything as fat and not release fat. That's why I did the surgery was cuz I produce an over abundance is grehlin and the drs recommended this surgery cuz I would reduce the amount and hopefully won't begin compensating and producing more in what's left of my stomach. So I still have a lot of grehlin and an hungry, yet can not eat much at all.

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
