You sure you want to get a fill right before Christmas? I got my 2nd fill last Tuesday, and I'm still struggling trying to get back to solid foods. I almost went in for a slight unfill, but am trying to tough it out. I've had to redefine what a "small bite" is, and what it means to "eat slow". I thought I was doing both, but this fill is kicking butt.

I don't know about you, but I'd hate to be overfilled at Christmas, or still doing mushies.

Tami

hi Tami,

I figure I have eaten enough the past 34 Christmases to be able to not pig out this one.

i have a very aggressive goal and if i am on slight mushies for Christmas that is OK. the plan will be liquids Wednesday, mushies Thursday and progressing to solids after Thursday.

i am going to have to learn to not associate that "OH MY GOD, WHAT AM I GOING TO EAT" mentality with the holidays. i figure this will help me do that.

I'm going in for my second fill on wed too! I have had the exact same feelings you have...why are we so hard on ourselves?? There is definitely a feeling like I'm grieving for the loss of food. I'm also able to eat A LOT! I can't wait until I reach the sweet spot. Good luck on your fill tomorrow!

This time of the year with all of the office parties and family dinners makes things very tough. I too am struggling and feel as if I am losing. I have had 3 dinners in the last week and have gained 4 pounds. I am trying to get back on track today. I actually emailed my nutrionist to see about getting a fill before Christmas to make this stop. In her words... focus on the Protein and leave the Christmas Cookies alone (easier said than done). That the cookies, candy, cakes are going to go down easy so a fill wouldn't help much if I continue to eat that way (which she is right) So Today Is A New Day I Am Going To DO THIS.:zip:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
