Thanks Besty. I do feel smaller after going thru my things and cleaning out a lot of old stuff that is now to big. I have never done that before.

The only thing is I am tired all the time. Not sure what is going on with that. I think that coffee is starting to upset me. I am going to try and cut back or maybe cut out coffee all together. I had better get it all together before our bike trip starting on Monday.

Everyone have a great Mothers`s Day. And do not eat to much.

Betsy & Barb, I've got to pass again on Tai Chi. It's the builder this time--got to meet with him this afternoon. This is just a busy month for me. I guess I better wait till after we get back from the Wedding in June before I try to start anything new. Hope yall understand.

OH Betsy I'm so sorry you were by yourself tonight. I didn't get out of class until after 5 and didn't get to Towsen until after 6. Had to beat it up 1960 for dinner with friends. I left a message for Lana because her number was programmed in my phone. I thought she was with you and then you would both know why I missed. I don't know if he would let me go on Saturday to make it up or maybe Friday night. I asked them when I signed up and they said yes so I guess I could just show up. How was it tonight? Did you remember what we learned on Monday? Again sorry.

I think the literature says you can make it up if it's during the same week. After class, he asked about you. I told him you had a meeting for work and you were going to try to get out early but it had been iffy.

It was wonderful. We started with breathing and stretching and then we did the basic routine. Then he had me over to one side and we did our same routine again, but this time we showed me the exact, I mean exact, placement of hands, feet, and body. Just those little enhancements really made it an all body workout. I felt stretched and lighter. It was actually pretty amazing.

There are only a few more moves to learn and then practice to get it exactly right, and we can pass the test to the next belt, in July! Lana, whenever you start, if it's soon, we could all pass together. That woman that was there last time told me what you do in the test, and it sounds like we can do it.

I also learned that when you enter and leave, you bow first to the flags, and second to the teacher. And that you stop whatever you are doing and bow to a black belt, if one arrives while you are there.

I really feel so good, relaxed, stretched and strong..compared to last time. (I also figure the outfit has a purpose. The sweating is good for me.)

Sorry you guys missed it. I guess it's one of those things that gets better as you learn more and flow more. Lana-if you want to catch up a bit before you start, I can show you.....

Sure would like to catch up. I would love for us to keep going together. and pass to the same level. When and how could we get together? Be thinking about it. We can talk tomorrow.

Betsy, do you really think you could teach me? I think I would like that. Are you sure about Saturday morning? Forty Pounds! WOW!!! You think you are stalled? It seems like you are moving pretty fast. I'm so stressed out right now, I probably need Tai Chi and OA.

Well, it's not like we've gotten very far... Barbara and I are equally capable at the er, 6 or so moves we've learned.

Did they ever straighten out your bathroom plumbing?

Barbara-can you come help me catch up this laggard?

I think part of my frustration is that my stomach doesn't seem to be decreasing, and as other things do, it looks even bigger to me.

I"m game for Saturday if we do it early. I have a 10 hair appt. It's just across the other bridge so I need about 15 minutes to get there. So 8:45 would work for me. Is that too early? :D The friday class isn't until 8:00 pm. I don't think i can make that so late and the class on saturday is at noon. so i guess i'll just lose a week. Our own makeup class would be great.

Just got home from Curves. Its not the same workout, but a workout just the same. You talk about stalled. I've been this way since Feb. I keep losing and gaining the same 4 lbs. I'm not weighing for a while and see if that helps. I find at night, dinner, I can eat too much. During the day I do OK, but night. WOW. I must be wide open.

Let me know about makeup class. Suzanne have a great trip. When you get back have some blood tests done. You might be anemic or have a thyroid issue. Its good to have it checked out.

I was just reading the rules of the school, and we can't teach you without out teacher's permission. So Saturday, we will demonstrate what we've learned.

      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

        Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

        Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

        I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

        I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

        BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
