I am from Clifton Park. Three Weeks Post Op. Had my follow up Tuesday. No problems. Blood pressure way down. 20 pounds lost since surgery. Am on soft foods starting today until 6/1. After that I can try anything. I do feel hunger. Have read that goes away after a while' date=' hope so.[/quote']

Where did you get your surgery done? That's awesome about blood pressure being down and losing 20 pounds! I heard people talk about head hunger but say it does eventually go away! I'm waiting to hear when my first appointment with my surgeon will be. I have everything else all done, so now just waiting!! It's driving me crazy!

I had mine done at Faxton-St. Lukes near Utica. I shopped around and liked Dr. Graber's practice out there best, they have a very good reputation. Dmitir Baranov did my surgery. He has since moved to somewhere near the capital district but don't know the exact place yet.

It's funny.. I see billboards for WlS on 787 all the time!! I even called them before! I choose Ellis because I know several people who went through them and had the best things to say about them! Also it's very convent location for me as well .

I'm still waiting o find out. I just had my psych evaluation yesterday, that was the last thing I needed to do. Now I'm waiting to find out when I meet with the surgeon. I need to loose 5% of my body weight before they will schedule the surgery. 7 more pounds to go! Then indeed to get to just about 10% gone to have the surgery. So, I'm hoping July will be it!! Jealous your is coming up do soon! I'm dreading a liquid diet! I can hardly get though a day on leans and greens... :(

I had my psych evaluation today, it was a joke though..i was there for like 15 mins, and he was like ok i'm clearing you for surgery. I'm self-pay so my process has moved along very fast. I started all of this on April 3rd. The liquid diet has not been easy but i just keep telling myself if i can get through this i can get through the surgery and be a success. It consists of 5 shakes a day (optifast), sugar free Jello, and lots and lots of Water. You will do great don't worry, it does get easier. :)

Thanks!! I'm getting a little annoyed with my case coordinator. I've left her 2 messages to make sure she received my information that I have faxed over. She has not bothered to call me back!

I was born and raised in Colonie. Had my sleeve done on Jan 15th in Mexicali with Dr Aceves. Down 53 lbs. from surgery, 68 from highest wt. Almost to goal! Loving my sleeve Itsy. My sister still lives in Albany, had hers Jan 14 at Ellis. She is down 88 lbs and loves her little Bitsy.

Still have to make good choices and I had hoped to not think about eating all day. Maybe someday. For now I still have to journal to be sure to get everything in each day

Good luck with your journeys!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
