Getting over it...

Recommended Posts

Every now and then I get hungry. I look and all I seem to want is the bad things or a lot of the good things, either way its not going to work out. I have to literally stop, breathe, take a look in the mirror at my 50lb loss and get over myself. Is there anyone else that has these moments? If so, how do you work through yours?

YESSSS!!!! When I get those feelings I break them off with a really good Protein shake. I'm 2 months out with 42 lbs lost so far, and I regret every bad food choice that I have ever made. But no, you are not alone out here!!!! Stay strong!

Almost the same way. I stop, take a breath, tell myself it's not worth it and remind myself of the 66lbs I've lost and DO NOT want back. :)

I've been going through it a lot lately. I just started trying to time myself so I don't keep on eating. I'm a stress eater. As soon as something goes wrong the hunger kicks in. I'm also having a hard time drinking Water.

I should have taken that step before having a second serving of lunch today. Ugh. I need to realize that self-sabotage is NEVER worth it!

I usually also drink a Protein Shake so I don't eat bad. I was sleeved Dec 11, 2012

Down 50 at times the hunger seems so bad

I feel I've done something wrong and my stomach got bigger

Anyone feel that?

Thanks...I absolutely love Water and now I'm starting to curb my appetite with Isopure. I definitely don't want that weight back though. I'm only two weeks out and have lost a good amount and there is no way I'm going back down that road again. So hunger binges have to take the back seat...lol

Lets just say this has been a week of hell. And nothing feels better than food. I've completely fallen apart and seem to want to munch on something every 2 hours if not earlier. I hate turning to food when I stress but I can't control it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
