You are lucky you don't have to do a bowel prep! I'm just glad i didn't have to do the whole jug just 4 glasses. Funny how every surgeon has such different preps.

I get my sleeve tomorrow and I'm in a bit of a panic. I lost my info sheet that told me what to eat when. I know as of 2 days before it was all Protein Shakes and apple sauce and cream of wheat. Can I eat that today? I'm reading that people were eating only Clear Liquids and starting to freak out because I drank muscle milk this morning and was starting to drink my bolhouse coffee Protein Drink with a scoop of other Protein.

Why do I loose everything!! blurg.

What have your doctors told you to do?

I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. Ugh I hope I didn't mess it up by drinking Protein. I better go scour my car for the letter they gave me.

oh and I burnt my lip really bad on the chicken broth so that's keeping my hunger at bay.

I'm know I'm the odd person out, but I HATE drinking Water. I actually just don't like drinking liquids at all. I could easily go all day and realize i've drank 8-12 ounces of any liquid. I think it's because I'm ADHD and forget the water is there to drink.

I guess I'll start my after surgery plan now...to set a time to go off every 5 minutes to remind me to take a sip of water. That or every-time a new song comes on my ipod I sip .

good luck everyone.

That's a good idea. What ever it takes. I don't much like Water either, but I like crystal light. There are many flavors to pick from.My favorite is tea with peach flavor.Give it

a try. Anything to get the water down Lol. I'm really excited to finally get this weight off. I think I've been on every diet and excercise program. Good luck, tomorrow!

I gag at all artificial sweeteners.

I was pretty calm about this but I just went to the grocery store and it made me sad and scared. People who are writing about how hungry they are post op are freaking me out. I really hope I'm not because I keep telling myself that after surgery I won't feel these hunger pains like I have today.

There's a part of me who wants to run for the hills and eat Italian food and never show up at the hospital. It's a very small part mind you. very small. I know I'm making the right choice for me and my son and our lives but....

I think all of us would love to run to hills for Italian food and more! :-)Right now I'm so hungry. My daughter made my family an Italian dinner, but low fat. I don't care it smelled so good, so I just went to my bedroom while they ate dinner.I know I'm making the right choice.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
