Well the time is almost here, after a 7 month journey my time to be sleeved is just around the corner. In less than 24 hours my life will change forever. I have been on a clear liquid diet that started Saturday, it's been tough but not as tough as I had imagined it would be. Any advice is appreciated.

I was sleeved march 25th. I know how you feel. Nervous or scared of the unknown. I will be done and over before you know it. Just try and walk when you can. If you have any stomach cramping just take deep breathes to help you through it. You'll do great! Good luck

Well I will say its definitely life changing. The first 3 days were the hardest for me because of the gas pains. But it gets better. The weight is coming off for me quickly 20 pounds in 2 weeks and people are starting to notice. Don't get frustrated if you can't get all the Protein down after surgery. I couldn't it takes time. Good luck!!!

Thank you so much for giving me some feedback. I hope I see 20 lbs gone soon ;-) my goal is to loose 93 so 20 in two weeks would be very motivational.

Thank you so much for the advice. I think I prepared myself as best as I can but there's always that lingering unknown in the back of my mind.

Good Luck! My surgery is on the 25th.

Thank you. I was supposed to have surgery on the 24th but they called me Thursday morning and said they needed to reschedule it for Monday.

You will do great. The first couple of days were rough, but each day it got better. Bring gas strips with you and chap stick, they were my life savers while I was in the hospital. I would not change my decision for the world, very happy with my sleeve (3 mons post op). Good Luck!

Praying for you....all will be well. I didn't have issues with gas at all, so you might just sail through beautifully. The night before/morning of surgery, I felt at peace and comforted. I'm 2weeks out. Down 28 pounds total (including 1 week pre-op). It's all worth it, and we are here rooting you on!

Hold a pillow over ur belly if u have to cough or sneeze. Ur throat will be sore from the tube and dry. Some hospitals have little sponges on sticks that u can ask for. Dip them in Water and rub inside ur mouth until u are allowed to drink. And walk walk walk. Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
