I would be careful and not go crazy on the shakes because a lot of us have tried and boughten shakes and then our taste buds changed immediately after surgery and it was a waste of money :(( there is Premier Protein which just about everyone on my Facebook groups love they are the pre made ones and the chocolate is so great they are 160 calories 5 grams of carbs and 1 gram of sugar and 30 grams of Protein

Good Morning Everyone' date='

I have just started the process to get the surgery done. Of course I am in my 1 month and my insurance require a 6 month "I CAN CHANGE" process before they can approve me. I have been overweight my whole life. I am ready to make this change, FOR ME. My family supports me and I actually have my aunt doing the whole process with me since she is also considering it as well. My boyfriend supports me all the way.

I am a 27 year old Puerto Rican female with no children and engaged to an amazing guy. As a typical spanish family we LOVE our CARBS! Right after high school (9 years ago) I have gained 70 lbs. I have gone with so much and upset with myself that I have let myself go. I am ready to change and I am glad I have found this website.

Thank you for reading my Post[/quote']

I hear u, I'm Puerto Rican too....n I had the same worries! N to make matters worse....I'm from the "clean ur plate or u wear it club"! But during ur process ur gon pick things up n learn wat is worth eating n wats not. Not goin to b easy....but gets better! Use that time ur gon b waiting to mentally prepare urself! Working for me....n I'm finally ready to get that surgery date! Good luck...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
