I fell off track the last 2 weeks and there is no excuse. I have barely exercised and have eaten plain crap so it's time for my wake up call!!!! Back on track today!! Tracking every last thing I put in my mouth and exercising this morning. I didn't so all of this to fall back into old habits. I'm better than that and will show myself I can do this once again!!

Sorry to vent ... Just don't know where the lack of drive came from .. My battle is far from over and I need to just get back to basics.

I believe we all have those days. I know I have. Then I look at a picture of where I was 6 mos and 111 pounds ago. I find my motivation again.

I'll take venting like that any day, Marie. You're taking control, not whining about it being hard. Good for you! We can all hope not to fall off track, but it is what we choose to do next that counts.

Gmanbat wrote this yesterday to another poster that was seeking motivation, and I saved it, for when the day comes I need to see it myself.

"You have beaten the greater part of your enemy. It's on the ropes. Kill it.

Go over your battle tactics one at a time, cover all the bases. Water, Protein first, exercise, Vitamins, Fiber, sleep...

Accept no excuses, show no mercy, don't lie to yourself...

You can take it to the goal and beyond, it is in you. Grab it. Get mad, get mean. Win. "

Good luck Marie!

I don't think you were venting. It clearly looked to me that you are owning your mistakes and taking control. That, my friend, is a huge VICTORY in this battle!! You know what you need to do, you were not making excuses and you are ready willing and able to get back to the basics that helped you succeed in the first place.

That could and I'm sure will be me at some point. I am an "all or nothing" type personality. I'm all in or all out. I don't understand this word "moderation" that people speak of. That is going to be my biggest learning experience. I understand we can't go though life with a perfect diet %100 percent of the time. It's ok to have a day or on vacation where you splurge, it's getting back to basics that will be my challenge.

You are doing great!

GOOD FOR YOU! Not once did you say cant or dont understand or wish! You are owning it and that's the key. We cant expect to never fall down but the true test is how we pick ourselves back up and continue the journey... is it with whining and excuses or with ownership and action? This is a marathon not a sprint!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
