that's awesome. When I told my mom I wanted this surgery, she told me she had been thinking about getting the band. I've tried to steer her away from that as gently as possible, but I know she's curious to see how I do with surgery before she makes any decision. I hope to be by her side if she makes this choice too! What a wonderful thing to go through together!!

Good luck to her! and to you too!

That is so great! When I started this process both my parents didn't want me to do it. My mom has just about made a 180 turn. Don't get me wrong, I wont be sitting by her side watching her sleep after her sleeve (she doesn't need it anyway) but she is so supportive now. It is great to have wonderful relationship with your momma! It is great that you are such an inspiration to so many!

That's great that she's supportive. My mom doesn't "need" me here but she was there for me during my 3 day stay so I decided to return the favor so she won't be alone and bored. It sucks being in the hospital. I work here and so does my dad so we know the ropes and get around with our badge as if it was home. It's fun, lol

My mom was there with me too at night while my husband and kiddos were there during the day. It meant so much to me for her to be there with me, I know your mom appreciates you!

Yes, my dad came this morning and told me to go home and come back (and I'm back) she walked 2 laps and say up for awhile while I was gone and had 60mls of Water. Woohoo!

My dad wanted to spend the night, she said no, lol my poor dad

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
