didn't bring anything to hospital :o

I wore hospital night gown - it was easier IMO

the hook-ups IV - just made life easier wearing their gown

i wore my sweats to the hospital

i figured when i went home after surgery, having that elastic band would be good PO

DH brought me clean socks and undies the next day

some/many people might bring their smart phones, ipod, book - stuff like that

not for me - i figured i would be sleeping alot at the hospital, dozing in and out

i walked like i was supposed to in the hospital - but other than that, didn't feel like doing anything except sleeping :o

people say they brought chapstick - thats a good idea cuz your lips are very chapped and dry

good luck with WLS

speedy recovery

:)

There are big long lists on threads about packing for the hospital, but I'm with proudgrammy--KISS. I did use my Chapstick and I did have my iPhone. They said "bring your C-pap," then they didn't make me use it (and that's ok with me!) I brought my Uggs slippers for my walk of shame (hauling around the IV pole and dangling the yucky drain). All modesty and pride goes pretty much out the window. Wear their gowns and pee and poo on your own and pass the leak test and get the heck out of there as fast as you can!

Thanks!!! I will keep it simple then!

I took my Kindle. I'm a bookworm and was a life saver.

Tampons! If there is a remote chance u could start your period take some! It was a nightmare trying to get some at the hospital, also a robe for when you are walking the halls, I brought a nightgown from home and changed out of my hospital gown, much more comfy. Flip flop or slippers for when ur walking too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
