If I have surgery before my birthday, I'm going to suspend aging for six months and have my half-birthday in March. ;) Maybe you could do something similar? Wait six months and have a party then?

Ugh! I know exactly what you mean, I very specifically decided to do my surgery this month, six months before my birthday and seven and eight months from the holidays. I sure hope you find something that tastes pretty decent as a way to treat yourself. Happy birthday! And know that you have already given yourself the best gift ever!

I had my surgery ON my 50th birthday - couldn't even have water! But the way I look at it, it's probably going to be the best birthday gift ever!

Hmmm... purees for a birthday? What about plain Greek yogurt flavored with chocolate Protein powder? And a candle, of course!

I would take 2 Tbsp of PB2 and mix with Water and a little splenda and then mix that with 2 Tbsp of fat free cool whip! so good and has 5g of protein:) feels like you are eating Peanut Butter mousse! happy birthday- mine is Sunday!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
