I'm 4 days post op, and so far everything has been much better then my mind thought it up to be. The only surprise really is the battle between my mind and my stomach! It only happens when I smell food. My mind automatically says "you want that! You're hungry!" And my stomach says "nope! You're NOT hungry. I'm stuffed on Protein and other liquids!!" It's quite a difference. Before, if my brain said I was hungry, my stomach "made room" to eat what I was craving, or wanted. It's weird that I don't know what to do with these thoughts. Any suggestions?

I've been having the same struggle, I'm trying to get my mind to listen to my body. I may feel full but my head tells me it wants more z:-/ I'm hoping that with time my mind and stomach will get in sync

Once I was able to eat soft foods, head hunger was not as bad. I'm actually pretty much turned off by the thought of eating... It's not as pleasant because I am still learning when my stomach is full, and it usually comes quick!! So, food, at this stage, makes me pretty miserable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
