I have heard you should raise your calories by 100 for a few weeks and then 100 more until eventually you will stabilize. It's not much! Some nuts or Peanut Butter (carefully measured) or avocado will do it, or the occasional treat like ice cream, or switching from skim to 2% milk. Just don't overdo it and pay attention to trigger foods or sliders. You will find the right balance for your body I am sure!

Hi everyone, I haven't been on any forum about this in at least 1year or so.

I'm 2 years post sleeve op on May 7th and have lost 27kg but put back on 5kg. I think this is the end of my journey and sadly still have to lose another 25kg to get to my goal weight. It's like an endless diet and not a lifestyle change. I don't know how much more I can possibly do to make me lose weight. I've tried everything and it's like my body resists it.

Has anyone been sleeved and experiencing the same issues? Sorry for sounding like a Debbie downer but I'm feeling I'm at the last resort now.

Hey K8tee

I can definitely relate. I was sleeved May 2013. Lost 90 pounds in the first year and put on 8 pounds the second year.

I've lost 4 of the 8 pounds but I'm fighting to keep it off. I guess I'm in maintenance but I don't want to be. I need to lose another 40 pounds. It's a real struggle. I know I have to cut calories and move more but it's depressing not being able to lose even one pound!

It's really hard isn't it? I feel like I've done everything then it just gets harder and tiresome. It's nice to know I'm not alone though. Thank you ????

It can be very hard to lose the weight but before the surgery it was impossible (for me). I tend to get into a routine of eating the same foods every day. It's easier and no surprises.

I think if I change things up a bit it may help get things moving. Looking forward to year three :)

I am 2 years out also. I initially lost 73 pounds - nowhere near my goal - and now I've put 15 back on. At this point, I really wish I would have gone the gastric bypass route.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
