So bad with my protein intake

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing great post op. I am 6 weeks post op and doing well so far. Except I am really bad in having my Protein Shakes. I'm supposed to have 1 scoop everyday but I probably have it just thrice a week????

I've lost a total of 24 lbs. wondering if that's ok and will the amount of Protein I take it, affect my weight loss? I'm a vegetarian and have Beans, lentils etc but there's only this much I can have of it.

Should I be losing more? I haven't lost any weight since 10 days????

Suggestions welcome

Start being more diligent about getting your Protein in...... If you don't get your protein in, your body will start breaking down the muscle mass you have and cause a lot of deficencies in different areas. I am 18 months out and I drink a Protein Shake everyday and eat about 90gms of protein a day...... Now you are 6 weeks post opt so it will be harder to get in all your recommended Proteins so get as much protein as you can. You can do this..... :) Premier chocolate shakes are really good too.......

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
