Hot damn! You look amazing. And can I just say that I am so jealous of your ankles? lol. Even in your before pic, you have cute little ankles and feet. I'm so looking forward to losing weight not just for my health, but so I can fit into normal shoes...

Thank you everyone, this journey we are all on is an amazing one! I look back at how far I have come in a little over 6 months and am so ever thankful for this surgery. The outward appearance is just a small part of all of the changes that have become from surgery!

Thank you again everyone for the kind words of encouragement. My Stats are on my signature (weight) and my profile for height. I don't really have any tips, I just my new small tummy as a tool for sucess. I Work out doing boxing and kickboxing at a professional boxing gym at least 2 times a week, they are hour long classes. I try and take walks with my family and dog on the weekends for a few miles. I just watch what I eat very carefully on myfitness pal. I stay under 800 cals , under 40 carbs and get at least 60 grams of Protein. Those are the only 2 things that I really concern myself with.

Do you find that you have enough energy when you are doing the boxing and kickboxing by only having 800 calories? I'm concerned about this for myself. I should be cleared today to start more exercise and I'm going to go join my local boxing club. I guess it's just beyond me to know that I may burn more calories in one class then I take in all day lol Congrats by the way at your amazing success. You are definitely a great inspiration!

Can't believe I am already 6 months post op! While I will never forget where I started' date=' it is starting to be a distant memory and my new life is better than I ever could have imagined!!

The struggles in the beginning were worth it, after all who wouldn't have struggles when you do something like we have done. I just try and take it one day at a time, we all have our good days and bad, but you can't let one bad day overtake all the progress that has been made!

Loving my sleeve still![/quote']

Fantastic!

I feel I do have enough energy with my workouts and not eating a lot. I do find myself on days that I do boxing/kickboxing I eat more Protein. Yesterday I did a boxing class in the afternoon, so for Breakfast I had a Protein shake, lunch was chicken, snack in the morning were nuts, afternoon snack was beef Jerky and for dinner I had ground beef... Doing more Protein then needed on work out days seem to help. It all just depends, I had to work my way back up to having a good energy level. I still have days though when I am exhausted.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
