Hi everyone :) I was sleeved on 3/1/13... So far so good... Most of the time when I'm going about my daily routine I forget I even had the surgery! For the past 2 nights and as I sit here now reading the different threads... I've been suffering from horrific restless arms!!! What is this? It's driving me crazy and makes me want to scream... It's SO uncomfortable! Anyone else going through this... Or heard of this? What is causing it? Help....!

When I went home from the hospital, I had horrible pain in my lower arms. I hadn't needed any of my pain meds at all, until I felt this pain. It was so uncomfortable that I had to take the pain meds to make it go away. Luckily, it only lasted for two days. When I told my doctor about it, he was really surprised by it and thought it was strange, but didn't really make a big deal about it (probably because it was gone). Not sure if that's what you are feeling or not, but thought I'd share.

My mother in law has horrible restless leg but she finds it stays under control if she supplements with sublingual B12... our new stomachs don't absorb B12 as well anymore so I am wondering if adding sublingual B12 (or more if you are taking some) might help? My doctor has me on one lozenge a day... BTW it takes her body a few days to feel better if she has let her dosage slip :-) I hope this helps :-)

I still have the restless arms from time to time... I haven't had one single other issue since surgery!! So when my surgeon meets with me and asks how I'm doing... He thinks this is hilarious that this is my only complaint... I'm not laughing! He is perplexed on the whole issue... B12 is interesting!!! Thank you! I will head out to buy some!

We were told to take B12 sublingual everyday, a Multivitamin, Calcium citrate, and Actigall for 6 months to prevent gallstones.

I had the same pain in my arms and it was from the IV and where they had drawn blood. It also didnt help that I had been using my arms to pull and push myself up when getting out of bed. It only lasted 2 days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
