I'm 7 weeks post op & have been given the go ahead on chicken, fish, seafood....just about anything. Can I tolerate sushi roll at this point? Like crab roll? I'm nervous about the rice.

Had my surgery Jan 16th and I had some sushi last night. I was only able to eat 2 pieces, but felt soooo good!

Give it a try. Take it slow!! You will find out. I tolerated it well, even early out. Everyone is different. Enjoy! Small bites :)

What about naruto style? It's cucumber wrap, so no rice. I love it.

I was sleeved 1/21 and I had sushi last week. I had 3 small pieces of tuna avocado inside out roll. Soooo yum!!!!!

I think I had one piece too many because after my tummy felt really heavy and I had a bit of pain but apart from that it was great.

Before surgery my partner and I used to go to a sushi restaurant and spend $50-60, the other night we spent $15!!

I'm nearly 2 months out and thinking of sushi for lunch tomorrow. I've had rice no problem. And I don't have issues with taking big bites, either.

I pick the rice off my sushi! You can eat more, it's more delicious and healthier! I love sushi!

I was sleeved on 12/20 (almost 3 months ago). I had 2 pieces of CA rolls two nights ago, and it went good. So I just got some for lunch. 3 small pieces down....I will try more later...but I am SO excited that I can even eat it.

Shrimp and lobster = no go for me. It comes right back up, not matter how well I chew.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
