Just out of curiosity... Those of you with big losses and who watch carbs... How many grams do you allow yourself per day?

I don't count carbs, but I do limit them. Mainly naturally, since I do stick to the "protein first" rule 95% of the time. The other day I had two little wedges of pita bread with skordalia (potato) dip/spread before I ate my low carb greek salad with grilled chicken. So, I'm not perfect by any means, but I am happy with my loss: 47 lbs since surgery, 77 altogether.

I have had above average loss and carbs are my friend :) Good carbs! Protein is my best friend though so only when I have room.

My NUT said at 600 calories I can have 40. I am doing 20-30. I cannot function on less than 20. My brain stops working. But they are nasty little devils and for me, eating carbs makes me hungry for carbs so I have to strike a balance. My balance seems to be about 25.

I average about 700 calories a day under 20 carbs...3 1/2 months out down 86 total.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
