I guess I'm a little different than everyone else.

I was sleeved on Dec 21st 2012 I'm down about 30 lbs give or take. I read the posts before I was sleeved about "having so much energy I wouldn't know what to do with it" I think I'm the opposite I have NO energy I'm exhausted and so tired lately. I also feel that I am losing very slowly and I guess it just isn't what I expected. Maybe I expected a quicker loss. I just joined a gym and I need to push myself to go more frequently. Also I am so hungry all the time!!! What gives?? I also push my limits with what I try to eat too. Like no no things. I know this is bad but I guess old habits die hard. I didn't have surgery to go back to the way I was. I think I just need to take a step back and re-evaluate things.

Advice?

Are you taking B12 Vitamins? They may help with your energy.

Yes, I am taking B12. It just recently got this bad as far as being tired goes.

I went through a period of being extremely sleepy. Not necessarily tired, but plain sleep.< /p>

How much are you eating in a day? It might not be enough. I've seen many posts on here about people hitting stalls or losing slowly, and increasing their calories and Water intake helped it. Don't get discouraged. It's possible a lot of the faster losers you've noticed were people who were larger to begin with, like me.

I was going to say B12 too, how much are you taking? Are you getting in enough Protein? Maybe lack of protein is making you tired....and hungry. How much are you eating?

Hang in there. It takes time for the body to adjust. I had that, too, and had to really shake myself up some. Trying reading the book Eat It Up to help you work through the no-no issues and remember, Vitamins, vitamins, Protein, protein, Water, water and more protein!

The boxes I'd tick before worrying is B12 (I'd get a blood test to check). I'd make sure I'm getting adequate Protein and Water. I like to make sure I'm getting the majority of my Protein from food. And exercise regularly, like 5 or 6 days a week. Walking for 30 - 60 minutes is good at the start.

Once you have all of that in check for a couple of weeks and you're still tired I'd see my doctor.

I'm right there with you! Sleeved 12/17 & I am tired too! I do get my Protein & Water, not so great with the exercise, but try to do 30 min 5x week. I think it's just our bodies adjusting to the low calories.

Yeah, early on at times I'd feel a bit 'flat' not just tired as well. I thought it might have been the hormones held in the fat? Not sure, but pushing myself to get out and walk helped shake it off for me.

Great progress, 30 lbs. in 2 1/2 months!

As far as the other things.

Are you on a PPI? excess acid can make you hungry.

Dehydration can also increase hunger and fatigue. Are you drinking enough?

Along with getting your B12 checked, maybe Iron also?

How is your Protein intake? Try not to eat any other foods, until you get all of your protein. That came from my nut., when I was having trouble reaching my protein goals. At 14 months out, I still eat very little that is not a source of protein. I don't waste the space in my tiny tummy.

If you can resist the cravings, they do go away. Maybe find healthy alternatives. http://www.hungry-girl.com has great swaps for most junk/comfort/restaurant foods.

Support groups are VERY helpful to see that others are going through the same thing, and what helps them.

Keep your eye on the prize!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
