I totally binged ???? I had wings, pizza, ice cream and soda. I realized after... it wasn't even that good! lol this PRE op diet is killer though. Ugh! Worst part is.... I am not even approved yet!!! They just will not give me an answer soo I am possibly torturing myself for no reason right now!

Ms.Okie Dokie....

15 lbs seems like a lot to lose in 4 weeks since you've already lost so much. Have you asked what will happen if your surgery date comes and you haven't lost enough?

You mentioned Medifast-type diet. I think that's great, and if you get hungry help yourself to a couple more shakes. What is it, like 90 calories? Better to "pig out" on extra Protein shakes than the other crap.

Deborah

...who is really not the best to give advice as she is having food funerals every day until starting the preop diet March 23.

Pre-op starts tomorrow! Had my final meal today, it was good but once again I know why I'm having this surgery.

After eating what I are tonight, and the way I feel now, it's worth it. I ate more than I should've and now I feel like crap. Like always after eating.

One thing I've learned about my food addiction is, like a lot of us "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP".

The only thing I really pigged out on is Pasta being my comfort food for life, however I think I am done with it now. The biggest thing for me to give up is going to be diet coke. I gained 1 1/2 pounds but i am sure i will lose it in the next 6 days.

I am rooting for you all - I hope you get the same satisfaction feeling fantastic post-op with very tiny meals as you do with the big ones.

I don't feel like I'm deprived at all and the weight is just flying off me (almost too fast).

Very excited for you all :)

I'm on day#3 of my early-starting preop diet. I was sick of the constant binging...the last "meal" I had was a big order of wings and washed it down with a pint if coffee ice cream. I totally felt like crap and then went on a Protein shake diet.

The first day was tough, but then ketosis kicked in and I'M NOT HUNGREY! It actually feels great. And I'm finally getting my Water in (thanks for the prompts, cindysc).

Surgery date is the 29th...gettin excited!

Deborah

My doctor or Nutritionist didn't put me on a pre op diet only thing they said was give up my favorite drink in the whole world (diet coke) that was the hardest for me. Not having a pre op diet worked for me because I had a very smooth surgery was back to work 3 days later. I am 8 weeks out and down 47lbs.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
