Did anyone stall out at around 3 weeks post op?

Recommended Posts

I stalled after one week post op. The scale didn't budge for like a week in a half...it even went up one day. I had to limit weighing myself, but as everyone predicted if I kept doing the right things then the scale will move again and sure enough it did.

Thanks for the info on your stall. This is very frustrating but I'm gonna continue to try and get in my Protein and Water

I'm in the same boat. I was sleeved 1/11 and was losing a pound a day for a couple weeks. Then, right at week three, I hit the breaks. Now for almost the duration of February, I've lost 2-3 lbs. Total from surgery date is 20 lbs. I'm trying to stay optimistic, but like you, I feel that I may have had this surgery, and will be stuck at 209 forever.

Remember not to judge everything on the scale. Your weight may not change during your stall but you will still be losing inches!! Chin up and give ur body a chance to catch up to becoming a new you!

This has been my concern, I stalled at 3 weeks and have been worried that things weren't working right but reading all these comments on it has helped me. I am 4 weeks out now. Glad to know it gets better..:)

Yep been there done that..was sleeved on jan 7th and hit the stall at 2 weeks for about 3 weeks. Its so frustrating I know but it does break. I know with me and all my years of dieting hell to consume less than 1000 calories and NOT lose weight? Just can't wrap my mind around that but hang in there it will start again. Oh and if you can stay off the scale for awhile..hard to do yes I know. Good luck

15 days out and stalled at 223 for the last 5 or 6 days. Very frustrating especially when you follow the rules! This too shall pass!

Yep, I lost 21 lbs the first 21 days after surgery, then nothing for the next 3 weeks.

I am in the EXACT same situation. I was sleeved 1/15/2013' date=' am down 23 pounds, and have only lost 2 pounds in the last 2 and a half weeks. I eat between 700 and 950 calories and get between 50 and 80 grams of Protein. It's so discouraging :([/quote']

Me too, sleeved 1/16 and lost 25 pounds within 3 weeks, and then the scale stopped moving. Calories for me 600-700, and still struggling with 64oz fluids, just can't drink that much :( don't know how but it seems on days that I meet Fluid goal, all I do is drink all day long. And I feel like I'm going to gag from too much fluids.

If you search Forums, for Lil Diva's bootcamp, it will come up. Basically, it's a 5 day plan, cutting out carbs & sugars & eating lots of Protein & drinking Water, to kick start your weight loss.

Yeeeeessss ma'am! When I reached 2 weeks I had lost 25lbs and now at week 4 (3/5) I will still be the same weight but you have to remember sleeve weight loss isn't as rapid as bypass or the band and YOU yourself have to physically do the work also. I know it seems discouraging but don't worry darlin once you start doing your part it'll melt like butter :) and although your not losing lbs you are still losing inches.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
