  1. I'm on birth control (seasonique), but my husband just had a vasectomy, so soone enough we won't have to worry at all! We're also using condoms as a back up method until he gets a sperm free sample.
  2. I'm in the same boat. I was sleeved 1/11 and was losing a pound a day for a couple weeks. Then, right at week three, I hit the breaks. Now for almost the duration of February, I've lost 2-3 lbs. Total from surgery date is 20 lbs. I'm trying to stay optimistic, but like you, I feel that I may have had this surgery, and will be stuck at 209 forever.
  3. I have my tragus' pierced and I have noticed no change. Seeing as tragus and nose is cartilage I would venture to say it probably isn't really changing in size. Maybe just coincidence...who knows.
  4. I'm on seasonelle. I take for three months straight and then have a period. I'm almost 2 mo post op and its been working as it should (no break through bleeding to indicate the pill isn't being absorbed) HOWEVER...I do not play with fire, therefore we use condoms as back ups. DH has his consult for the BIG V next fri. I have PCOS and used the pills to keep my periods lighter and regular and may continue them until more weight comes off.
  5. My surgery was 1/11 and I have my one month post op tomorrow. I'm down 20lbs since surgery day. Slow and steady, and I'm ok with that.
  6. I had my surgery 1/11. I still have some of what you're describing. My surgeon explained that he cut into the muscle and had placed sutures in the muscles. I think it's normal, and as more time progresses it will dissipate.
  7. Sarah, my sister had her bypass with that Dr. And hospital in Sept. She spoke fondly of him. As for me, I had my sleeve done by Dr. Suh at Inland Valley in Wildomar, CA. Although not super friendly and all business, I like him very much. My husband met the CEO of the hospital while I was in surgery and he had only stellar things to say about him.
  8. I was sleeved the 11th and I an down 13 lbs. Tomorrow is 2 weeks out. I am having a really hard time with head hunger, but everyday it gets a little easier. I have my 1 month post op 2/7.

  11. Hi there! Thanks for the responses. Teri how are you doing since your surgery? I'm doing pretty well, at least I think I am. I am drinking as much Water and other fluids as I can, and working on getting my Protein in. My first post op appt is Thursday. Hopefully then I get to add in scrambled eggs, refried Beans, and mashed potatoes.
  12. I'm 4 days post op and looking for other sleevers in my area. I'm in Riverside, CA and had my surgery done by Dr. Suh at Inland Valley. Let me know if you're in the area, I'd love to chat.
  13. Three days out from my surgery and first full day home. Feeling pretty sore, but otherwise in pretty good spirits. My lortab script is fabulous when I need it. I've been trying hard to get in my water and protein, but it is slow going. I get a lot of bubbles while drinking, even when I am taking in a very small amount per sip. I just remind myself to take it slow, and that this is all temporary. If you have any tips/tricks or words of advice I would welcome them!
  14. Hi there. I had my surgery with Dr. Suh Friday 1/11. I'm still at the hospital, but hope I get to go home later today. I too have had my reservations about the surgery, but spent a good amount of time reading these forums and most people have nothing but good things to say about it. I wish you a fast recovery!
  15. I had my surgery at 300 pm yesterday. Doing ok pain wise, except for my new stomach is growling like crazy and it hurts! I haven't been allowed to have any liquids yet. Is this something that fades, once I get to start sipping?
