March sleevers anyone?

Recommended Posts

I'm on day 5 of preop liquid only. I get sick of the shakes but been doing ok. Day 1 and 2 were the hardest so far. Day 3 4 were good now today I find myself really hungry. I too have been making home made broth and getting a few restaurants strain broth for me. Those seem to be best. Surgery on the 14th and I can't wait!!

No drain... Four incision points. Dr also found a hernia which he repaired. Incision points are sore but not much internal pain to speak of

I was sleeved on the 1st and am doing great! I was out patient. Went to the hotel 4 hours after surgery. Slept a lot that evening, but made myself walk to get the gas out. Saturday I only took 1 pain pill, but probably could have gotten away with just a Tylenol. Walked that day too. It was a harder day in that I couldn't get my Protein shakes down and probably only 4 oz of Water. Called my surgeon and he told me to try Popsicles and Powerade zero. Those were the ticket! sugar free Popsicles work great! Sunday, I walked the mall and felt great! Today I drove my 4 hour drive home and it made my belly button a bit sore, but not bad. I got 30 oz of Protein in along with about 20 oz of liquid. So, it's been easier every day! I also went to Denny's and had them strain their vegetable beef Soup and just sipped on that and also their chicken Soup on another day. That was heaven! I'm super happy and excited for my new life. Down 14 pounds since the beginning of my pre op diet. Yay! Good luck, you March Sleevers!

WOW!! You you're doing great! I hope I'm just like you! I will tell Dr U hello.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
