Had my sx yesterday

Recommended Posts

Surgery went well, but the pain and nasea afterward is awful. Had to spend the night in icu because of nasea and slow heath beat. Still very naseaous, hope it will go away soon. Please tell me it does. I'm feeling a little sorry for myself now. Just want these days to be over, so I can enjoy being sleeved.

Praying you can go home soon. Zofran really helped me, too!! They give it to me with any surgery now; Otherwise I'm sick for several days, like a motion sickness. You can do this and will feel better. Carol

Thanks, I will ask for a sublingual pill. I'm getting zofran every 4 hour, it helps some, I also have a patch being my ear, not sure what it is called. Thank you for your encouraging words.

I know just how you feel - nausea is the WORST! I had it constantly for 2 days after surgery. Doctor said it was the medicine they used to put me under and it had to leave my system. Once it did I had no more nausea so HANG IN THERE!!!

I am doing so much better, the two first days were hell for me, but now it's getting better everyday.

My dr gave me rx for the Zofran pills to put under your tounge, and they worked great, thank you all that suggested that.

I am ready for the next adventure in my life :)

So glad you are doing well! I kept a few zofran with me at all times for several months. They are life savers. Sometimes your sleeve can get nauseated at the most unexpected times. Keep a few with ya for a while :)

Looking forward to hearing about your NSV'S and success!!! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
