Two weeks post op, I hit my first wall. I've lost 28lbs since I started my pre op diet. I know it's expected in the process, but when did you hit that first wall?

Mine was two weeks post op. It didn't last long. I had simply stopped losing on a daily basis and started to lose in chunks.

Tell me about it! I was sleeved 1/28. I've lost 31 pounds since the day i started my pre op diet. This past week and a half I haven't lost a pound! Def. frustrating. But I've been told it is normal and that our bodies are adjusting to the large amount of weight we have already lost in a short period of time. My question is, when will this first stall end?!?

Mine was about the 3rd week. I didn't lose any more weight for about 5 days. Hit a 2nd wall on week 5, same thing. It takes me 4 - 6 days to start losing again. It helps speed up the process when I walk a little more than normal.

You might want to consider your stall might be partially how much waste your body is holding onto. My bathroom visits are on an every other day basis. Sometimes I'll be over a pound lighter after a monster poop!

I had my surgery on 01/28 and am down 30 lbs (including the 10 day clear liquid diet before surgery) I have felt like I hit a wall as well so I have given up looking at the scale every day. I just need to tell myself that the progress will happen like it is suppose to and try to only weigh myself every one or two weeks. Hopefully that way I will stay encouraged.

I hit my first wall during the third month of my pre-op nutritionist visits, but that was because I stopped following the rules. I lost 8 pounds on the pre-op diet, started one week before surgery. As of yesterday, I was down another 5 pounds. I'm hoping that as I add more foods to my diet, that I will continue to lose.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
