Going to start the app today... Wish me luck

Good luck. Remember start slow and listen to your body. If you feel too much strain, slow down as to not get hurt. The results will definitely be worth it!!

Surprisingly enough i only had to walk for the last jog section - i still bumped the speed from 3.2 to 3.8 on the treadmill for that section. Didnt think i could last that long!

actingnurse- its good you did that much. I walked for the first 3 months of surgery at 3mph for an hour till it became nothing then started c25k.

Houdini- Ive never really been a runner just ran for whatever sport i did in school. I can do a somewhat long time at what i consider a slow jog but i like to get that speed up for the same amount of time. I like to push myself but im lucky to be young and my body doesnt mind the abuse.

Week four (pant, gasp)... night two! I actually feel pretty decent, not to say that last five wasn't a little ugly!

I've dropped a couple pounds and my clothes feel a little different so I know something good is happening. it's enough to keep me coming back for the next run.

Cheers all!

I'm glad somebody's butt is getting firm cause mine looks like a geriatric shar-pei. My thighs are looking awesome though.

I completed week 4 tuesday...but I'm going to re do it. That last 5 min jog was tough and it wasn't until day 3 i completed it totally. So I'm hoping by doing it over for another week I'll build more stamina

Starting over. Got through the first week, but have been battling pneumonia since mid January. Can't get a full run up, without hacking a lung. Everybody at the gym thinks I have e-boli. Getting better so going to try to start over. Wanted to run a 5k in March, but thinking about pushing into later in the spring.

I finished week four yesterday. Next week is run five minutes, three times. For some reason that sounds not as bad as week four...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
