  1. I followed my surgeons recommendations and exercised regularly. I started at 573 pounds and I am currently 311 pounds I am about 60 pounds from goal.
  2. I am almost 10 months out and have lost 262 pounds it is possible. It takes a lot of hard work but it is so worth it.
  3. Im from texas too and about to be 23. I had surgery in oct. 2012 and down 160 lbs. If you have any questions just ask them.
  4. that does sound weird i lost 23 pounds the first week and my surgeon wasnt worried at all
  5. good luck and remember to walk as much as you can and sip.

  10. congrats and I was sleeved Oct. 23 so almost 4 months and down 138 pds. Its made a big difference tons of energy and excited to see what the future holds.
  11. actingnurse- its good you did that much. I walked for the first 3 months of surgery at 3mph for an hour till it became nothing then started c25k. Houdini- Ive never really been a runner just ran for whatever sport i did in school. I can do a somewhat long time at what i consider a slow jog but i like to get that speed up for the same amount of time. I like to push myself but im lucky to be young and my body doesnt mind the abuse.
  12. I went back to week one yesterday and gonna stay there till i pick my pace up to where i want it. I did jog half the cool down last night and it wasnt too bad.

  14. same here never been a problem till surgery and the only thing that made sense to me was increase my fluids and it worked
  15. i had dry skin and mouth and was getting the recommend amout of fluids. Its most likely dehydration because I increased my fluid intake and my skin and mouth dont dry out anymore. Hope this helps
