Guess I wanted to talk to somebody to know its possible. How much have you lost so far? This much weight is undaunting.

I started out having to lose 210 lbs...So far 10 months out 130.4 lbs.

I've lost 50 preop plus 53 postop as I type this. I agree it's scary, especially to see how much more I have to lose. I recently got involved with the greatest local support group where we do things together and look out for each other and being involved makes a world of difference for me.

That is amazing - well done!

I wish we had a support group in out town..But most people are keeping the WLS a secret.....so I try to get what I need from here....It is tough though...One on one is much better for encouraging each other!

I'm 9 weeks out. I started out needing to lose 215 (at my highest). I lost about 29 lbs pre-op. I've lost 41 post-op. I had a fast loss the first 2 weeks and have stalled pretty much since then.

However, my inch loss has been nothing short of amazing. I'm loving how I look both in clothes and without them. You can do this. It seems like a big goal but as you set mini goals, you'll find it a lot less stressful.

I am almost 10 months out and have lost 262 pounds it is possible. It takes a lot of hard work but it is so worth it.

Wow, you guys are so impressive can I askhow much you weighed when you started and anything different or special you did?

I followed my surgeons recommendations and exercised regularly. I started at 573 pounds and I am currently 311 pounds I am about 60 pounds from goal.

You guys rock. I'm in awe. Love this sleeve. We really are so blessed!!!

I started at 416lbs and really didn't do much of anything special. I had mandatory NUT visits once a month and just started following guidelines she gave us Plus I started walking. In january of this year, i couldn't stand for 10 minutes without breaking into a sweat. NUT said walk 10 minutes every day and I said "I can do that". The first time I tried I had to take 3 breaks and was drenched in sweat. Yesterday and the day before, I did an hour on the treadmill each day. I had to work up to that but it's been so worth it. I will walk a 5K within a few months.

No reason you can't accomplish the same.

I'm thrilled to hear its doable. I started the pre op diet at 410. Today the scale said 384.5. I'm now on puréed food but feel like I could eat a cow. I would love to keep up with you guys over the months to see where we all are.

Well done on the weight loss.

You know where to find us!

Hello, good topic here. I was sleeved on July 25. I started my work on this on March 1 and was 455 pounds. Lost 80 pounds from march 1 to July 25. Have lost 30 pounds since July 25. So that is a total of 110 pounds. I probably need to lose another 175 pounds or so, which is why I worked do hard at losing prior to the surgery. Getting 100 or so pounds off prior to the surgery really helps you believe that you can make it to the ultimate goal weight.

You can message me anytime to discuss what you are going through and we can compare notes. I am about 3 weeks out and it is sort of shocking that I am not hungry. I have been on protein shakes and liquid drinks for three weeks now, so I expected to be really hungry.

Best wishes and congratulations to all of you for taking charge of this part of your life.
