FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved

Recommended Posts

My brain is an idiot. It refuses to believe that my stomach rules and my Ass is more than happy to help prove the point. Just because you are allowed to eat doesn't mean everything goes, Or rather everything will stay.

I'm suppose to shoot for 1000 cal in the next 2wks.

4 or more meals, using shakes in between meals. Trouble is most things go right thru me, I've been doing soft things, but ether too spice or too many ingredients. And I can't for the life of me drink a shake. I'm still tracking calories and I am still only about 500 a day. Which is not going to help my stalled weight loss. Funny how we no what were doing wrong and yet we "I" , do it anyway.

GAME PLAN FOR TOMMOROW.

Back on shakes for 1 full day, plan and shop meals. Next day start again as prescribed. WISH ME LUCK

Thats what I did today after my follow-up appt. There is no way I can shoot for a thousand calories.....I have been gone all day I do mean all day...can you say EXHAUSTED, going to suck on some Water and a protien tea and take my but to bed. I can tell you that today I was no where near my water intake, but tomorrow back on track, once I get back to work it wll be easier to get my fluids in Protein and water....

So my surgeon and the hospitalist told me to resume all my meds when I came home from surgery. So I'm taking my blood pressure, depression, Migraine pills, and also the things the surgeon prescribed: Prilosec and a muscle relaxant. But they stressed that for the first two months all my Vitamins had to be liquid or chewable. I feel silly swallowing like 6 pills, and then having a chewable Multivitamin and liquid Calcium. Anyone else back to pills right away too?

You can get a pill crusher for the meds but my surgeon said pills are ok as long as it dime size and under. I am thinking the chewable vitamins may possibly make them more absorbable and /or gentle on the stomach

These gas pains in my chest are excruciating! It's making nauseous. I tried to get a hold of my doctor but he is closed on Friday? I really don't want to take any meds without his consent but I'm dying over here! And I've been walking a lot and it doesn't help :((

Im going through the same thing as we speak. Had surgery yesterday and I cant get all my required liquids in. Ive just been taking really small sips, or using a small spoon to drink from. It still hurts but not as much. Also warmer stuff feels better

I've taken a chewable bariatric multi Vitamin twice and threw it up both times. I guess I'm gonna have to go back to the Gummy one a day vitacraves. I can't stomach the other ones):

I am 9 days post op and eating thick liquids' date=' yogurt, Soup, pudding, sweet potatoes. The last two days I get a pain mid chest when eating, is this heartburn or acid? Anyone experienced this? It is definitely above my stomach[/quote']

When I get chest pain while eating it is my full sign. I feel the pressure in my chest first. I've read it's because our new stomach rests higher than we are use to.

Have you tried a heating pad for your gas pains? My boss swore by it. I was very lucky and didnt need to use it but she said she ended up buying two because it was the only thing to sooth her pain.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
