I just wanted to Celebrate how good I feel. I am 16 days out and no issues. No nausea. A little tired now and then but over all I feel so lucky.

I keep reading about everyone's "issues". So maybe we need to show newbies how many people feel great after surgery! I do!

(I hope I don't jinx myself :)

Thanks for this thread. I'm scheduled for April surgery but lately Ive been doing so much research in complications and problems that I'm scaring myself out of it. It is reassuring to be reminded that so many people DONT have problems and it reassures me that I'm making the right decision. Thanks and best of luck with your continued success!

I am 5 months out tomorrow ! Had no complications at all! Each of us are very different and there is no way to know if you will have any issues. Keep your eye on the prize and focus on the positives!!

Little over a month PO and doing GREAT!! No pain or nausea. Lost 25#'s. I am so happy I made this decision. I am most excited that from day one I have had normal blood sugars, normal blood pressure and normal cholesterol. That is the best part. I traded all my life threading Meds for vitamins!

Almost 2 months out and almost 30lbs down. From the moment I woke up from surgery I have felt amazing and absolutely no complication and only a little sore, but since then I've been floating on cloud nine. I'm a very slow loser and have been in a stall for several weeks ( lost a few recently) but I don't care. I FEEL GREAT!

I too had a simple recovery. I feel very fortunate for that and for having the sleeve. No more diabetes meds. The eating is beginning to feel like my new normal. My surgery was December 3rd.

I was sleeved on Jan 16th and have lost only 17 lbs, I'm a little frustrated but feeling good! I'm a little over 3 weeks out so need to start exercising! I have made a plan for this week, so hopefully this will help me through this stall! Wish me luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
