I know right! I'm on the liquid diet today so I can have Soups, Protein Shakes, sugar free Jello, Protein supplements etc.... It's A LOT easier filing up on the liquids than I thought, imagine that :-). The hard part came this morning when I was cooking a grilled cheese for my fiancée and my son comes out and wants me to make him an omelette. The grilled cheese wasn't an issue but the omelette was a hard one cause I love omelettes and I'm a good cook. Sooo I get out make book and show him that this is all I can eat right now and he understood a lil better. Enough bout me.... Sorry about you and your sister,I wish she'd give the surgery a try because it'll help her be happy, healthy and just enjoy life more. So tell me, and the world, :-) about your appointment. Did things go as planned, new things come up, what? Glad to hear that your Boyfriend understood what you were asking of him. Happy for you making the smart choices at the store, as you know that's what it's all about. Just an FYI, you probably know already, I just made a Protein Shake from Perfect Zero Carb Isopure 100% whey protein isolate and it tasted ok but I figured out that it I add a squirt or two of Mio it tastes way better. Kinda tastes like I smoothie now WOOHOO lol

We actually don't have any snow right now...we've been experiencing all four seasons in a week. One day its 65 degrees' date=' and the next thing you know, we're having a snow storm. Lol. I can't express the pain I felt after climbing all of those stairs! I was with a co-worker, so I didn't want to seem weak and say "let's take the elevator" but, afterward, I wished I would have. I don't smoke. I used to smoke socially, like when drinking...but I gave it up when I found out that per my program, you have to be smokeless for 6 months before you can have sugery. But yeah, I'm SUPPOSED to keep a food journal (I'm not always the best at keeping up with it) and I'm supposed to eat 6 times a day. Impossible! I know after surgery that I'm going to have to eat more often to make sure I'm getting the nutrients I need, but right now, it's hard...especially when I want to eat donuts, Cookies and ice cream. Lol. I'm a government employee, so my health isurance plan is pretty good. It's awesome that you've been losing weight on your own, maybe you'll motivate me to lose a few lbs too! :)[/quote']

I use a app on my phone to help me do my food journal, I am much better at remembering it over writing it down, also where in Ohio are you from? I live in Strasburg about 20 minutes south of Canton

I just started using MyFitnessPal again yesterday to help me remember what I ate and calculate my calories. I'm usually good at doing it for a couple of days, but I don't have enough discipline to keep at it; I'm gonna really try though! I'm in Columbus :) have you had your surgery yet?

Exciting!! When did you start your process? I started back in October and had to do 6 dietitian appointments. I only have one next week and one next month and I'll be done. I'm excited and anxious. So Dr. Needleman is your surgeon? What hospital is he with? I'm going through Riverside.

After much consideration' date=' I've decided to start a video blog! I just wanted to document my journey and hopefully people can relate...or even help me get through the road ahead. I'm currently pre-op, with about 2 months left before surgery. So, if you're someone considering VSG and want to know the process as it happens, follow along. And even if you're someone who's already been sleeved, I could always use the support as my surgery time crawls near.

Please feel free to follow!

View my video blog:

Great video I will be following you on this journey I will be sleeved February 27th

Hey! :) I know it was probably hard for you not to make yourself an omlette, but at least you were able to be strong and push through it! I've been having a hard time today with head hunger. It seems like everytime I get on track and I start my day off right, my head talks me into eating something when I'm not even hungry. It's annoying. I'm trying to remain strong! I wish my sister would learn more about the sleeve and just accept that this is something I've decided to do for ME. When I first told her, she didn't talk to me for like a day. Then, she expressed to me that she's spent her whole life being overweight, and it's not fair that I'm going to have surgery to become "skinny" while she's still fat. At the end of that conversation, she stated that she was going to see how my experience goes and maybe look into having the surgery herself. She's hot and cold though--and it's annoying. My counseling appointment went really well yesterday. For the first time, I've really opened up to someone and have been receptive to her feedback. We just talked about my sister, my "bad body days," and making better food choices. I'm glad your shake was good yesterday! I'm actually getting ready to make an Isopure smoothie to stop these "hunger" pains going on in my belly. I am SO excited for you and your surgery tomorrow! Like I said, I'll be thinking of you at 11am and sending you postive vibes! Are you getting nervous yet?

Thanks Shannon for all the good vibes! It's real nice to have people cheering for you. I got over the omelette but it's all a head game and I'm too close to surgery to risk a foul ya know. Be patient with your sis, she might be scared of change or the surgery itself, try to remember how you felt. You got to want this for yourself and nobody else. Now that I'm done sounding all wise & stuff, give your sister some room to take it all in cause it's A LOT. Way To Go making the smarter choices and if you fall short here or there don't worry just get up, dust yourself off and keep on going. Glad your counseling is going good that's a positive.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
