Recommended Posts

I have surgery on Monday. I want this so bad. But I'm so nerveous that I am afraid I will talk myself out of it.

This is perfectly normal. Every possible thought ran through my head. If you don't do anything else you owe it to yourself to become healthier and this is one step on your journey. I'm only just about weeks post and this is the best

decision I could have made. I deserved to be happy and healthier. You deserve to be happy and healthy.

I am having surgery monday as well and I keep envisioning myself getting checked in the hospital and then all of a sudden begin screaming and running from the hospital...ugh I am so nervous:/

Take a moment and a few deep breathes, count to 10 and with each number you count say one reason why you want this after you get to 10 visualize the happiest moment in your life then you should know if you really want to have the surgery only you can make this decision. Many blessing with whatever you decide is best for you.

Sitting here at lunch having to squeeze in my booth. With my gut over lapping on table. And it reminds of the way I don't want to be anymore.

The surgery itself is nerve racking but also the changes that go along with it. Your battle against weight will soon be over. You life is about to change. Even though it's a positive change, it's still scary. Imagine yourself healthy, not being held back by your weight, the confidence you will have, the liberation!

Now imagine yourself backing out. Still fighting this weight battle, being depressed, held back.

You got this! The beginning is the hardest part and in a few months you will feel amazing! Good luck and keep us posted.

I was scared too. Walking into the hospital the day of my surgery I nearly turned around and left. I just kept telling myself "I'm scared to do this BUT I'm scared NOT to do this, I need this"

Everything turned out great and I am off to a fairly good start.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
