I had surgery in July and have lost 75 lbs so far. I'm doing well with exercise, but I'm still pretty baggy, it is okay. But, my arms are atrocious! I can't wear a lot of shirts, just because my arms are still large and baggy. I am willing to do whatever it takes to fix this. I've been inconsistently doing weights. Has anyone had luck with their arms? What should I be doing?

The bad news is the skin if its really stretched the chances are slim it won't go back.

Doing weights will definitely build muscle, but it builds it under the layer of loose

skin. Surgery is the only way to remove most of the extra skin.

I've been using bio oil since 2 weeks before surgery and will continue over all the bits I think might get flabby. I've heard Vit A (retinol) can be effective too. Avoid the sun on your arms at all costs. This is the worst for skin elasticity.

There are unproven supplements that people sometimes take. Vitamin C is meant to help collagen and it also helps absorption of Iron. I take EmergenC powder in my shakes. It's also great for avoiding colds

I take small doses of Vitamin E also and rub it along with bio oil on my arms & belly.

And my insurance will cover surgery only if I am having any kind of physical problem with my arms, but I don't see how this will be an issue, just a bother. What would be a problem? Rashes?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
