I ended up getting pancreatitis when I didn't get my gall bladder out fast enough.

I really feel for you Sannah. I had a lot of pain with my kidney stone until I had the surgery. I just hope I don't form any more kidney stones. I was told to drink a lot of lemonaide to prevent kidney stones.

My word!! Pancreatitis!! That does not sound like fun!!! You had surgery on your kidneys? To break up the stones? I heard that they're is special diets for kidney stones. I hope you don't develop any more stones as well!!!

Best,

Sannah

Wondering how you are.....

Hi,

How are you?

I had massage, acupuncture and counseling today. Tomorrow I see the nephrologist, new surgeon, nutritionist and family doctor.

Still in pain and vomiting. Holding up the best I can. It's hard.

Taking it easy.

Best,

Sannah

Are you able to keep anything down?

I can keep a little down. Vomiting doesn't seem to be related to consumption. I think it has to do with pain, but it sure doesn't make me want to eat!!!!

Sannah sweetheart let them go in and get those kidney stones... I've had them, they are horrible and can cause kidney damage if left untreated.

Just do the surgery and you will feel so much better I promise you!

Also the gall bladder, take it out.

There's no down time after the surgery and you get rid of so much pain.

I hope you will consider doing it ASAP!

You are in my thoughts!!! You deserve to be well!

Thank you. Me too :( I imagined being healthy and not requiring so much medical help at this point. Today has been hard physically and mentally. I am sure tomorrows appointments will bring relief and a health care plan. The few days of greatness that I felt didn't last long enough. I am sick of being sick. I just want to be healthy and no longer be a bag of stones!!!

Your friend,

Old bag of stones. ;)

Hi!

I am so happy to see this message from you. ???? I hope that your doing great!! Any spring break plans?

How did you get rid of your stones?

I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. So not ready for surgery, but in pain. I cannot and do not want to keep needing medicine for pain, nausea and vomiting. Just Vitamins please!! Which I am still not approved to take.

Tomorrow shall bring resolution. I am fearful of surgery. I hope somehow I can avoid surgery.

Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. The road feels extra bumpy right now. I know it will get better, but the ride is long!!!

Best,

Sannah

Thank you for your supportive words!! It's so nice to read them and know I have you wishing me well. Things are going to get better' date=' but I need to ride out the crazy wave.

I hope your doing great!! Are you enjoying real food these days? Any Protein Shakes you like?

Best,

Life is good! I feel really normal. I can eat anything these dad, nothing upset my tummy. I have been struggling with sugar, that's always been my weakness :\

My favorite shake is Isopure's banana flavor powder. It's really yummy!

Hi Sannah,

I ended up having emergency surgery to remove the stones because they ended up blocking my ureter and my kidney stopped functioning. It was a lot of pain before, something I pray I never experience again. My heart hurts for you knowing you are hurting. It really is better to have them removed if they are not passable. The dr should be able to determine this from tests.

I'm doing good. Thank you for asking :)

I'm at goal now so I am learning to stay on track and maintain. It's exciting and I still have to pinch myself to make sure it's real :)

Hugs to you- Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Big hugs and kuddos to you for being so successful!! :) It's so great to hear, not to mention inspirational. How great you must feel!! :)

My word!! I am sorry to hear that you had to endure emergency surgery. No fun!!! Have you since had any more kidney stones? What kind did you have? Are you taking medication to prevent them?

Best,

Hi Sannah, my most recent X-ray showed my kidneys were clear from stones. Hopefully the x ray was right. My kidneys still ache and my right kidney hurts daily. My urologist tells me it's healing. He better be right :P

My stones were Calcium oxilate (sp?)

The problem now is my sleeve diet contradicts my kidney diet. This is what I should be doing for my kidneys

reducing sodium

reducing animal Protein, such as meat, eggs, and fish

avoiding foods high in oxalate, such as spinach, rhubarb, nuts, and wheat bran

My urologist is not familiar with the gastric sleeve so I'm basically lost on what I should do

One thing he did tell me to do is drink 8 ounces of orange juice a day and I do this

I believe the citrus breaks down the stones.

My blood work still shows that my kidneys are not functioning where they should be but we are waiting before starting more testing.

Every twinge or ache brings me to full panic because I fear that pain that I experienced. It kinda feels like PTSD

I am sure you can relate to this with all that you are going through

I hope you get good news at the drs.

Hugs-Lisa

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
