Ate my first PB&J a couple of days ago. It was made with one piece of bread, folded over. But it was yummy! I'm 7 months post-op.

I am 4 months PO and still have issues with bread. I am just now at a point where I can eat SOME but not a lot. I originally tried toasted wheat bread because I read that it was supposed to be easier on you but quite honestly I cannot tolerate wheat bread at all. I can only eat white bread and it does do better if it's toasted. I can eat a sandwich usually if im really hungry and with 1 piece of white bread folded over with some sort of moisture like low fat mayo or mustard.

Thanks everyone. I can wait considering oatmeal is heavy on me so I can imagine bread. I am tracking my food on MFP and while all I'm eating is small servings of cottage cheese or eggs and beans' date=' the chart keeps showing that I am having 1/3 carbs 1/3 Protein an 1/3 fat. I'm not sure how to make Protein higher than the others. Grrrr any suggestions? Any one care to post a pic of their MYP daily diary of a successful eater?[/quote']

Invest in some PB2. It's 1/4 the calories of regular Peanut Butter. If you can't find it at your local grocery store order it from Amazon.< /p>

I tried PB2 when I was doing weight watchers a few years back and I did not like it at all. My tastes have changed drastically since my surgery though so I might need to give it a try again. :-)

If you do a side by side comparison with a jar of full fat Peter Pan...yeah, it's not going to win that match up. But to me, it tastes good enough to be my choice considering the nutritional consequence of eating regular Peanut Butter. Plus, I do believe there is a slight art to mixing it up right. It took me a couple of tries to get it right. 2 parts powder to 1 part Water PLUS a dab more Water make it just right to me. And don't accidentally turn on the hot water like I did the other day....hot Peanut Butter is not as good as it sounds.

You can change your settings on MFP online. I had to use my computer and not the app on my phone. And just played with the percentages until I got my Protein goal at 60g. Hope that answered your question :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
